Knowledge atlas analysis of virtual vascular interventional studies
CONCLUSION: Considerable growth was observed in vascular intervention therapy using VR technology in the last 20 years. With consistent efforts like strengthening cross-institutional and multidisciplinary collaboration networks, VR based simulation training capability can be increased that in turn can improve the outcomes of complex vascular interventions.PMID:36927163 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231162157

Bioresorbable Vascular Scaffolds for Patients With In-Stent Restenosis: The RIBS VI Study
Conclusions This study suggests the safety and efficacy of BVS in patients with ISR. In this challenging anatomic scenario BVS obtained late angiographic and clinical results similar to DEB but inferior to EES. (Restenosis Intrastent: Bioresorbable Vascular Scaffolds Treatment [RIBS VI]; NCT02672878)

Influence of on call vascular surgery team and off-hour effect on survival after ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm.
Ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysms (rAAAs) represent a life-threatening emergency and carry a high community and in-hospital mortality, despite treatment and protocol advances. Identifying prognostic factors like the presence of on call vascular surgery teams at first hospital admissions or times of hospital admissions can modify hospital protocols and mechanisms to ameliorate general outcomes. The aim of this study is to analyze the influence of on call vascular surgery teams and off-hour admissions on survival after rAAAs in Catalonia, Spain.

Massive Drop in elective and urgent Aortic Procedures during the peak of the COVID-19 outbreak in Spanish multicenter analysis
COVID-19 has strongly impacted Spain and overwhelmed the healthcare system. 1 Patients with vascular disease and COVID-19 infection are at risk for worse prognosis given their numerous comorbidities and frequently fragile condition.2 Aortic-related conditions can be life-threating, especially when acute or complicated and thus, the current situation poses a challenge for providing proper care. 3 Thirty-four patients were treated for aortic pathology in eight Spanish academic vascular surgery departments during the pandemic between March 14th and May 4th), 11

Hemodialysis vascular access flow measurements by the novel DMed NephroFlow ® device: A comparative study with Transonic®
CONCLUSIONS: The NephroFlow® device seems comparable with the accepted gold standard UD method for estimating VA flow. More studies must be performed to verify these results. However, they should be considered for the surveillance and monitoring of VA flow, in agreement with the Spanish Guidelines.PMID:36349374 | DOI:10.1177/11297298221133883
